LinkedIn is in the midst of testing a new services section in user profiles for members to highlight their areas of expertise…
Professional networking platform LinkedIn is testing a new section in user profiles to list services. Discovered by Jane Manchun Wong, it goes along nicely with the “Find a Service Provider” tool, something else Wong uncovered last month.
New LinkedIn User Profile Services Section Test Launches
The new LinkedIn services section could prove useful for freelancers who wish to showcase their skill set. Also, employees could use the services section to highlight their important job responsibilities.
This feature isn’t yet live, but it could go sitewide, if it proves worthwhile to LinkedIn.
The section was first discovered by none other than Jane Manchun Wong, who has a very strong record of uncovering unreleased features:

LinkedIn recently revamped its reaction buttons, giving them a Facebook-stylized look. Back in November, the professional networking site introduced Pages, a new way to share company content.
LinkedIn currently claims 500 million total members and approximately 250 million MAUs or monthly active users.
