Microsoft Edge Copies this Super-Useful Google Chrome Feature

Microsoft Edge might soon include a very similar tool that’s found in Google Chrome, a quick-to-use in-browser link sharing feature…

Microsoft Edge is borrowing a technique from Google Chrome — a URL sharing tool. Right now, it’s restricted to the most recent Canary build of Edge but has the real possibility to make it’s way out to wide, stable release. And, just like its competitor browser, the new Edge “Send to Device” option allows users to quickly move from one device to another on the same web page.

The new Microsoft Edge Send to Device tool gives users a couple of ways to go from one device to another via a single web address. Simply click the little computer icon that resides in the right corner of the address and then select a device from “Send page to your devices” menu. Or, just right click on the URL in the address bar and select either “Send page” or “Send link” option. Once shared, a notification pops up on the recipient device.

Obviously, this makes switching from one device to another and not losing place a cinch. (That is, if it works as intended.) If it makes its way through Canary and into Beta, it could appear in the stable release in the not-too distant future.
