Not all that long ago, the Microsoft corporation made a promise it would update its Office apps to give users a better experience. Now, the company is beginning to roll out the redesigned mobile interfaces and they finally sport some mobile-friendly features.
New Microsoft Office App for Android and iOS includes Mobile-Friendly Features
Microsoft is starting to push out its newly redesigned Office apps for iOS and Android. And, it works better for the mobile versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basically, the suite now contains more quick actions that let users get things done on smaller platforms which ostensibly sync with the desktop programs. Additionally, Microsoft is bringing support for third-party cloud storage services, including Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud.
Office app product manager Nithya Sampathkumar tells The Verge in an interview how the company will now deal with take a simple outline and transform it into a PowerPoint presentation:
“Often there’s just a bunch of bullet points or a bunch of ideas we start with. So we said, ‘how do we make sure that work can get started on mobile?’ That’s the basis for create outline.”
