New PSA Features Sesame Street Characters Encouraging Kids to Reduce Mobile Device Use

Common Sense Media has teamed up with Sesame Workshop to produce a new public service announcement about responsible habits.

In the video, phones are put away in drawers, tablets rest on shelves, and other devices are tucked inside handbags. It’s part of the #DeviceFreeDinner movement, which encourages families to spend quality time together.

One such previous spot featured actor Will Ferrell, who portrayed a “distracted dad,” in his phone while essentially ignoring the family conversation.

It serves as a reminder of where our modern culture is today.

The PSA will be distributed to run on Fox, Xfinity, Comcast, Charter, Cox, National Geographic, NCM, PBS, Univision, Telemundo, HITN, and Xfinity Latino.
