Snapchat just gave users more features to enjoy, the company announced on its official parent blog. The company states it reorganized the layout of its platform’s creative tool, introducing a Magic Eraser, as well as a new timer setting.
New Snapchat Creative Tools Roll Out, Composer Layout Updated
The biggest change is “limitless Snaps,” which give users the ability to remove the 10-second maximum viewing time limit. “We’ve all felt the frustration of not being able to fully enjoy a Snap – even after replaying it – and we wanted to give you the option of allowing the recipient to enjoy your Snap as long as they’d like. After your friend finishes viewing the Snap and taps to close it, it will delete as usual.”
The new loop tool, allows users to play Snaps over and over again, similar to the Instagram Boomerang tool. Users record video as usual, then tap on a “Loop” icon, located on the right of the screen. Magic Eraser is also a new tool, which acts much like an automated Photoshop editing tool. Users can now remove things from images. The tool removes the unwanted part of an image:
The company states these new tools and options will improve UX or user experience. “These changes allow us to continue evolving the Snapchat service and provide a foundation for introducing even more creative tools for making fun Snaps! We hope you enjoy it!”
