A new Twitter Explore tab is rolling out on the social media platform, putting news, trending topics, Moments, live video, as well as search in one place…
Twitter just introduced a new user experience on its interface. The microblog gives its users several ways to see what’s happening on the social site outside the main timeline. These include Trends, Moments, and search. Now, all of these experiences are under a new Twitter Explore tab.
New Twitter Explore Tab Launches
The company tested its Explore tab and more over the past year, allowing participants to explore different ways to find information. During the research process, participants reported the Explore tab provided the best medium for finding news, trending topics, and what’s popular.
“Until today, you had to go to a few different places to find each of these experiences. As part of our continued efforts to make it easier to see what’s happening, we’re bringing all these together. Very soon, you’ll be able to find trends, Moments, search, and the best of live video, all within the new Explore tab,” Angela Lam (@ngelalam), Product Designer wrote on the company’s office blog.
The new Twitter Explore tab launched yesterday for iOS and will become available to Android users in the coming weeks. The company urges users to check and upgrade to the latest app version to use the new feature.
A report published at the beginning of the month reveals Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter measurement data produces mixed results for advertiser analytics. In December of last year, Chief Executive Jack Dorsey tweeted with users for over six hours, asking what features they most want to improve user experience.
