A new WhatsApp group setting will make life a little easier, giving admins the power to better organize chats for improved communications…
WhatsApp is incredibly helpful when it comes to planning group events. After all, many people can join in and exchange ideas. However, it’s common for group chats to fall out-of-control as participants haphazardly chat with one another. So, a new WhatsApp group setting will give only admins the option to send out messages.
New WhatsApp Group Setting Released for Admins
The new WhatsApp group setting is clearly aimed at wrangling conversation for certain situations. The company understands group chats are indeed its biggest appeal. That’s why it recently rolled out group descriptions, anti-spam tools, and a catch-up option which displays user replies and mentions. These certainly improve its functionality. And, it’s probably best for the Facebook subsidiary to introduce such tools here, rather than on its flagship platform.
“One way people use groups is to receive important announcements and information, including parents and teachers at schools, community centers, and non-profit organizations. We’ve introduced this new setting so admins can have better tools for these use cases,” WhatsApp explains.
To enable the new WhatsApp group setting, simply go to “Group Info” within a group chat. Then, navigate to Group Settings, followed by Send Messages, and select “Only Admins.”
