A new Pinterest Save button Google Chrome extension lets users save content from the web. “To start doing visual searches around the web, install the Pinterest button, currently available only on Chrome, more browsers coming soon. (Already installed it? Great! It should update automatically.) Now when you visit a website, you just hover over any image and select the magnifying tool to instantly discover visually similar ideas on Pinterest,” the company announced on its blog.
Pinterest already serves two billion searches each month. And, Pinners are known to hop on the social platform with higher purchase intent than users on other social media sites.
With the browser extension, Pinners can search entire images or zoom in on specifics. Users can also resize selected areas of image and find more results through categories.
