Microsoft is releasing its freshly remade Office apps for iOS and they work more quickly and sport a unified look but aren’t packed with new tools…
Not all that long ago, the Microsoft corporation made a promise it would update its Office apps to give users a better experience. The company is beginning to roll out the redesigned mobile interfaces, but they are conspicuously absent of any new and helpful options. Although they are more aesthetically pleasing and faster working, users shouldn’t expect too much in the way of expanded functionality.
Redesigned Microsoft Office iOS Apps are Faster and Simpler but Lack New Features
Microsoft is starting to push out its newly redesigned Office apps for iOS, but they’ll probably disappoint many who expect something new.
To be sure, there’s a much more consistent look and feel between its desktop programs and mobile applications, however, there’s not a whole lot else. The latest redesign does come with a few things. For instance, there’s now an XLOOKUP function that helps users find cell data.
Additionally, it’s now possible to read and respond to comments directly through email. Also, there’s a new alternate text section which gives users the ability to add captions and mark elements with decorations.
Really though, it’s the newly dressed up interface that’s the largest change. And, it’s an experience that office users will certainly welcome.
