Android devices outnumber every other kind on the planet. It’s actually the world’s most ubiquitous computing platform. As a result, there are a number of apps which have racked-up a plethora of downloads. But, only a few reach one billion or more. The Samsung Launcher now boasts that same milestone.
Samsung Launcher Reaches 1 Billion Google Play Store Downloads
The Samsung Launcher joins Google Calendar, Microsoft Word, and Snapchat. To be clear, it comes pre-installed on the latest Samsung phones, called One UI. It’s been available since 2012, but with different interfaces and branding.
The most recent version of the Samsung One UI launcher includes features specific to Android Pie, like full-screen gesture navigation, locking the home layout, and more.
The Google Play Store Samsung Launcher description reads:
“Samsung Experience Home starts fresh with a new face and name: One UI Home. It comes with a simple screen layout, neatly arranged icons, as well as Home and Apps screens that perfectly fit Galaxy devices. Meet the better-looking One UI Home that blends familiarity with newness.”
