Google Announces an Integration between SiriusXM and the Google Assistant

A new Google Assistant-SiriusXM integration will go live next week, bringing together entertainment and function for a better entertainment experience…

Satellite radio provider SiriusXM has been attempting to expand outside the auto environment for some time now. Now, it’s getting the chance to do so, through the Google Assistant and some smart devices.

SiriusXM-Google Assistant Integration Announced

Beginning next week, SiriusXM will bring its impressive lineup of channels to an array of Google devices, including the Nest Mini and Nest Hub. Plus, it will work with Android and even on iOS. So, users can just say “Hey Google, play SiriusXM” or “Hey Google, play the Eagles channel on SiriusXM.”

Will Hennessy Product Manager writes on the official Google blog:

“Starting next week, you can stream SiriusXM’s extensive lineup of channels with the Google Assistant on your smart devices, like Nest Mini, Nest Hub, Android and iOS phones, and everywhere Assistant is available.

There are also tens of thousands of stations that you can already play through your Assistant from providers like TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and Radio.com. With your voice, you can switch between stations to jam with your favorite DJ, get updates about your home team, or catch up on the day’s headlines.”
