Snap Inc., has introduced a new Snapchat 3D camera mode for selfies, but there’s one big catch to actually access and use it…
Snapchat continues its quest to dominate the selfie market. Now, it’s added a new feature to its offerings, a 3D camera mode. While that’s a welcome addition to many users, only some can actually use it.
Snapchat 3D Camera Mode Debuts
The new Snapchat 3D camera mode is now available but only through an iPhone X or newer model. However, those who can take advantage can apply 3D effects, lenses, and filters, as well.
What’s more, captured 3D selfies can be shared on the app or users can save it to their camera rolls to share outside Snapchat.
Here’s what Snapchat wrote about the new feature:
“…we’re excited to introduce a 3D Camera Mode that adds depth to your Snaps. Use it to create Snaps that capture spatial detail, changing in perspective and appearance based on how you move your phone when you view them. These new Snaps look different, act different, and feel different.
The new Snapchat 3D camera mode will also become available to more mobile devices in the future, the company states.
