Spotify for Android and iOS have gained two new tools — Only You and Blend — which are designed to help make music streaming more enjoyable…
Spotify has found a couple of new ways to keep its listeners more engaged. Both can help listeners get more out of the music streaming platform, whether via Android or on iOS. One is called “Only You,” which is a spin on the service’s Unwrapped round-up that appears at the near of the end of the year. The other, “Blend,” puts friends together to mash-up their individual musical tastes.
Spotify Introduces Two New Features called Only You and Blend
The new Spotify Only You feature shows listeners what they’ve been streaming most frequently and which artists are just arriving in their musical sphere. It includes Instagram-style information cards as a visual representation. The other, Spotify Blend, allows listeners to invite friends in order to create synced-up playlists based on their combined musical preferences. (Although Blend is still in beta build, right now.) However, it is available to Spotify Premium, but Spotify Basic members can access it in the “Made for You” hub. Spotify writes on its blog:
“There are more than 356 million users on Spotify who know that listening is everything. And with more than 70 million tracks and 2.6 million podcast titles to pick from, there’s always something new to discover, share, and enjoy—but we know that nobody listens quite like you.”
