Spotify is upping its marketing game against its music streaming rivals by now offering its Premium for three free months, rather than just one…
The streaming wars aren’t just limited to video. Music streaming is a huge business of its own. Now, Spotify is getting more aggressive about luring new customers by extending its free Premium trial offer from 1 to 3 months.
Spotify Premium Free Trial Triples from One to Three Months
Spotify previously attempted to attract new subscribers with a free 30-day trial of its Premium tier. Going forward, it’s expanding the period from 30 days to 90 days. And, the company states this is a permanent change.
Spotify Premium members enjoy listening without ad interruptions, can download music and podcasts without limits, seamlessly toggle between devices, and also enjoy endless skips.
The new plan is available to individuals and students. Once the free trial ends, it will cost $9.99 per month.
“…this is the perfect time to join the 100 million-plus people who’ve subscribed to Spotify Premium. Beginning August 22, eligible users will receive the first three months on us for free when they sign up for Spotify Premium. You’ll unlock a world of on-demand access to millions of hours of audio content—no matter when you sign up.”
