Spotify’s Station app, a Pandora rival, now works with Apple CarPlay, allowing people to control playback from a vehicle’s head unit…
Spotify released standalone app Stations back in January of 2018 as an answer to rival Pandora. Instead of users picking specific artists and/or albums, it contains over sixty music channels. People just pick from numerous playlists and the app customizes the experience over time.
Spotify Stations-CarPlay Integration goes Live
Stations by Spotify is an “experiment” but when it rolled out in the United States last month, it didn’t integrate with CarPlay.
Spotify Stations now does work with Apple CarPlay and it lets users control their music from the car’s in-dash entertainment system.
Stations plays music based on users’ own playlists and listening habits. Listeners can also like or dislike artists and songs.
“With the world’s music at your fingertips, finding the right thing to play can feel like a challenge. Stations gets you to music instantly — no searching or typing needed. As Stations learns more about what you like, it creates stations packed with the music you love, made just for you.”
Spotify Stations for CarPlay is now available in the U.S. and Australia on both Android and iOS.
