The Roku Channel first debuted in October of 2017. Free and supported by ads, it includes licensed content like television shows and movies. Some of its library contains titles from Lionsgate, MGM, Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros., and Disney.

In August of last year, the company added a new Kids & Family section to the channel. Now, it’s expanding its catalog to include more to stream.

Roku now has even more choices in its Kids & Family area of the Roku Channel. This includes a “variety of Sesame Street short videos,” that feature popular characters such as Elmo, Big Bird, Abby, and others.

Also, anyone that’s a paying customer of HBO through Roku’s Premium Subscriptions can watch full episodes of Sesame Street, as well.

Additionally, the Roku Channel now has content categories. So, parents and young viewers can more easily find titles related to the topics they’re most interested in watching.

“Is someone in the house a fan of Cars and Trains or perhaps they’re learning about the Jungle? New content categories feature one-stop collections. You can easily pick from a variety of entertainment based on the themed content. From Challenges to Crafts, Superheroes and Bugs, you’ll be able to find shows, shorts and more in one place.”

These new additions are now appearing in the United States.
