Twitter released its September events calendar, marking important dates through the first autumn month. “Fall is what’s happening. As summer comes to an end, anticipation on Twitter is building as people get ready for their favorite September events,” Cindy Lewis, Twitter Content Strategy Lead, writes.
Twitter September Major Events Calendar Rolls Out
The Twitter September major events calendar kicks off with PAX West, on Friday the 1st. PAX West celebrates games and gaming, beginning in 2004. Next up, on September 4th is Labor Day. Hashtag #CharityDay comes on the 5th. On the 7th, it’s the NFL Opening Weekend, Toronto International Film Festival, and the start of New York Fashion Week.
September 8th is #LiteracyDay, along with #SU2CDay or Stand Up to Cancer Day. During the following week, London Fashion Week kicks off on the 15th, as well as National Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Primetime Emmy Awards comes thereafter on the 17th, with #TalkLikeAPirateDay on the 19th. The 21st marks #PeaceDay but the season officially begins on the 22nd. Also on the 22nd, the iHeartRadio Music Festival starts up and it’s #HobbitDay.
Paris Fashion Week commences on the 26th, with #WTD following on the 27th. Rounding out the month of September is #International Podcast Day on the 30th.
This year, Twitter published like calendars for each month. It’s intended to help brands reach specific audiences on key days of the month.
