Uber is currently experimenting with different iterations of combining its services into one monthly subscription in two cities…
American multinational transportation network company Uber is running tests in Chicago and San Francisco which combines combines rides, Eats, bikes and scooters into a single monthly subscription.
Uber Combined Services Monthly Subscription Pass Test Begins
The experiments offer fixed discounts on all rides, free Uber Eats deliveries, as well as free JUMP rides. Though the packages differ slightly, the monthly pass costs $24.99.
Additionally, Uber is running tests in other cities which offer lower-priced passes which include discounted rides and free Uber Eats deliveries above certain amounts.
A spokesperson from Uber tells TechCrunch the following:
“From meals to wheels and everything in between, we’re always looking for ways to make Uber the go-to option for your everyday needs.”
This marks the first time Uber has lumped its services together in one monthly subscription plan.
It’s obviously a way for the company to differentiate itself from the competition. Subscribers are more apt to forgo other services when it’s already in their budget to use a single provider. Plus, it makes monthly budgeting that much easier when it’s only one line item.
