WhatsApp multi-device support capabilities first appeared back in June and now, it looks as though the option will go live in the near future…
Right now, WhatsApp claims an impressive 2+ billion users across the planet. Of those, approximately 1.6+ billion use the messaging platform at least once a month. In February of this year alone, the mobile application was downloaded 96 million times. So, it would seem that it has all of the latest bells and whistles. But, that isn’t the case. However, this is slowly beginning to change.
WhatsApp Multi-Device Support Likely on the Way Soon
Just four short months ago, the folks over at WABetaInfo revealed they found support for multi-device logins. Presently, it’s only possible to run a single mobile device, along with a PC, or Mac, or web browser. That however, is the limit. While users can switch between these devices, they can only log into one at a time. Of course, this means there’s no seamless transition from one to another.
But now, it appears the messaging platform is getting closer to making it available in stable, wide release. Once it’s rolled out, WhatsApp users can login on and head over to the Settings menu. Then, select “Use WhatsApp on other devices.” This will show a list of all supported devices.
