Windows 10 Preview taskbar Android notifications

Windows is Running an Experiment which Displays Android Notifications in the Taskbar

Windows 10 Preview taskbar Android notifications are beginning to surface, if users opt into a test program Microsoft runs…

Microsoft made several promised about its Your Phone software. And now, it seems like its beginning to make good on its word.

Windows 10 Preview Taskbar Android Notifications Roll Out

The company has released a Windows Insider Preview which can display Android notifications on a PC. But, there are a few catches, of course.

Firstly, it requires a mobile device running Android 7.0 Nougat or newer. Secondly, said device must have at least 1GB of RAM. Third, users who opt into the program must also allow apps to display alerts.

Those who meet this criteria can see Android notifications as they come in on their Windows 10 PCs, without having to retrieve their handsets.

But, it comes with some limitations. For instance, it’s not possible to respond to incoming notifications. (That is, not at this time.) Although, it is possible to clear notifications one-by-one or all at once.
