In the not-too-distant future, Xbox owners may be able to stream Apple TV content without the need for a HDMI cable. That’s right. Xbox consoles look like they’re going to receive Apple TV support. This, according to reports on social media from people who say they’ve seen the option in action. (Some of which are saying they are part of a limited group of testers for the function.)

Apple has gradually been rolling out apps for smart TVs, along with other platforms, in order to expand Apple TV’s reach. Now, it looks like Microsoft’s Xbox consoles will join with those already available. However, this likely won’t bring the full Apple TV movie and show catalog over to Xbox. Although, it won’t require a different remote as the Xbox controller will power its functionality.
