Yahoo! (Yes, Yahoo!) is back and this time, it’s jumping into the smartphone sector with the release of its first self-branded handheld, the Yahoo Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y. It’s powered by parent company’s Verizon mobile network and probably best of all, the device costs a very affordable $50. What’s more, it’s part of Yahoo Mobile’s unlimited phone service, which definitely makes it a promising prospect.

Yahoo’s Mobile ZTE Blade A3Y is purple and comes with a number of preinstalled apps, including Yahoo Mail, News, Sports, Finance, and Weather. The phone sports 8-megapixel rear camera with a dual flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a flash. Android 10 is the operating system, with a 5.45-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and a rear fingerprint sensor. It also possesses face unlock.

Yahoo Mobile first debuted back in March, with unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data for $40 a month, with taxes and fees included. To sweeten the deal, anyone who buys the phone can take advantage of some perks. These include the Yahoo Mobile service plan, which offers ad-free email with Yahoo Mail Pro and an unlimited mobile hotspot that can be used on one connected device at a time.
