YouTube is Offering Students 50 Percent Off Premium and Music Subscriptions until January 31st

YouTube student Premium and Music subscription discounts are now available until the 31st of January 2019, so act fast to get 50 percent off…

Massive video hosting site YouTube is giving new Premium and Music student subscribers half off.

YouTube Student Premium and Music Subscription Discounts Offer 50 Percent Off

YouTube Premium gives subscribers an ad-free experience to watch videos until their hearts’ content and well-beyond. Premium not only gives viewers ad-free sessions, it’s also home to its original content. With the promotion, Premium for students runs $6.99 per month, rather than $12.99.

Meanwhile, YouTube Music, a streaming service which is much like Spotify and Apple Music, goes for $4.99 per month for new student subscribers, usually $9.99.

The new push for more subscribers comes after the service was renamed. YouTube Premium, once known as YouTube Red, has yet to disclose how many subscribers it currently serves. (The same holds true for YouTube Music.)

However, it is known when the ad-free version launched back in 2016, only managed to snag 1.5 million subscribers. Although, the company has proclaimed a substantial boost in engagement. This includes almost 2 billion monthly logged-in users and a whopping 450 hours of video uploaded every minute.

The YouTube Premium and Music discount promotions are only running in the United States for college and university students. New subscribers who go for YouTube Premium prior to January 31, 2019 get a monthly rate of $5.99, instead of $6.99.
