YouTube TV 1 million plus subscribers

There are now over 1 million YouTube TV subscribers, a substantial increase from last summer, when it reached 800,000 accounts…

YouTube TV just surpassed 1 million subscribers, making the big marketing push by Google pay-off. Over the course of the last year, the company has promoted the service heavily, reaching 800,000 by last July.

YouTube TV Surpasses 1 Million Subscribers

Now, YouTube TV claims more than 1 million accounts, according to a recent report by Bloomberg.

Currently, YouTube TV covers 98 percent of Americans after its 95 city/region expansion this past January over top of the already existing “top 100 markets.”

Google is now touting “nationwide” availability, with the remaining 2 percent coming soon. YouTube TV includes more than 60 networks, including TNT, TBS, CNN, ESPN, and FX. Moreover, it includes local affiliates for ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC.

The service also offers unlimited cloud DVY, along with up to six users per household. Additionally, the streaming system likewise has Android, iOS, web, set-top boxes, consoles, and even televisions for just $40 per month.

With such offerings, YouTube TV is outperforming its incumbent rivals Sling by Dish and DirecTV Now by AT&T.

Although, Hulu TV remains almost twice as large, with nearly 2 million subscribers. However, this does pale in comparison to Netflix, which has 139 million worldwide and is fast approaching  150 million. (It is worth noting, these are different services with different models.)
